Codling moth (Cydia pomonella) adults are about 3/8 inch and gray with distinct bronze areas on the bottom third of wings. Larvae are found in apple cores, are pinkish in color with brown heads, and can reach 3/4 inch. Single scale-like eggs are laid on fruit or adjacent leaves.
